Your data is yours.

Selune is a wellness app for women with ADHD. It exists because you deserve a tool that takes you seriously — including with how it handles the things you tell it. This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you use Selune, the following information is stored in your account:

  • Daily check-ins: your focus, overwhelm, rejection-sensitivity, mood, energy, sleep hours, optional notes, and the date.
  • Cycle data (only if you opt in): your last period start date and cycle length, used to calculate which phase you're in.
  • Onboarding answers: what brought you to Selune, your diagnosis status, age range, and the symptoms you identify with. Used to personalise the Coach and the app.
  • Coach conversations: the messages you send to the Coach and the replies you receive. These live in your account only and can be deleted at any time in Profile.
  • Account identifier: a unique ID generated by Supabase (our database provider). If you sign in with Apple, your Apple-issued email may be associated with your account.

What we don't collect

  • We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers beyond what's strictly required to run the app.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-app analytics, or behavioural advertising of any kind.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes — full stop.

Who processes your data

We use three trusted services to make Selune work:

  • Supabase — stores your check-ins, profile, and Coach messages. Hosted in the EU. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Access protected by row-level security so only you can read your data.
  • Anthropic — powers the Coach. When you send a message, we forward it (along with relevant recent check-ins and your onboarding context) to Anthropic's Claude model so it can generate a reply. Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, your messages are not used to train their models. Anthropic retains data for a short period for abuse monitoring, then deletes it.
  • Apple — if you sign in with Apple, Apple manages the authentication exchange. You may choose to hide your real email; that's up to you.

On our website (seluneapp.io)

Our marketing website uses Microsoft Clarity for anonymous session analytics — which sections you read, where you click, where the page confuses you. We use this to make the page clearer over time. It does not identify you personally and does not capture what you type into form fields (your email, if you sign up for launch updates, goes to Netlify separately and is never visible to Clarity).

Microsoft processes the data under their privacy statement. Clarity is the only website analytics tool we use.

The Selune app itself uses no third-party analytics — not Clarity, not Google, not anyone. Everything in the section above (“What we collect”) applies to the app only; this section applies to the website only.

Anonymous use

Selune is anonymous-first. When you open the app for the first time, an anonymous account is created automatically — no email, no password, no name required. Everything works. You can sign in with Apple later if you want to back up your data across devices, but you are not required to.

Your choices

  • Daily reminders — opt-in only. Toggle on or off from Profile. Reminders are local-only — they never leave your phone.
  • Delete Coach conversations — one tap in Profile. Removes every message from your account permanently.
  • Reset everything — one tap in Profile. Wipes your check-ins, profile, and Coach history.
  • Delete your account entirely — email hello@seluneapp.io and we'll permanently delete your account, check-ins, profile, and Coach messages within 30 days.

Children

Selune is intended for adults (16+). It is not designed for, or directed at, children under 16. If you believe a child has used Selune, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Crisis

Selune is a wellness tool, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services, the Samaritans (UK, 116 123), 988 (US), or a comparable service where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top and, if the change affects you materially, we'll notify you in the app or by email if we have one.
